Custom Printed Backdrops

When designing your backdrop, here are some tips to consider:
- Clean Designs: Some designs do not translate well when converted from postcard size to over 10 feet tall. Ensure that logos and text are in a clear field with no distractions. What appears to be a pretty flower on a flyer may look out of place when it is 3 feet wide and covers a third of the backdrop.
- On Stage Elements: Remember that there will be people or objects in front of the backdrop (chairs, podiums, presenters). Design your backdrop so that the on-stage elements do not block the logos or text in the backdrop.
- Camera Readiness: Many events will be documented by video or photograph. Create your backdrop design so that is camera ready. Envision the camera frame and ensure that letters and designs are not awkwardly cropped in a photo or video.
Printing Backdrops Process
Expressive Structures has had decades of experience in the design, creation, and delivery of custom printed backdrops. Our process has impressed countless clients in the financial, high-tech, and pharmaceutical industries. Our print process has proven effective and begins with digital artwork that is ready to print. Here, we ensure that the resolution is high enough, the colors are true, and the font is accurate. Upon request, we can deliver a quarter-scale proof, a strip proof, and/or a color proof so you can inspect all aspects before the full-scale print. Once the proofs have been approved, we can then start the process of printing, sewing, and test-fitting your backdrop before delivery.
